Initial situation

The global GIZ project to support the export initiative is organized by the 29. until 30 November 2022 in Berlin, Germany, an international multistakeholder conference entitled “The Way Forward to Circularity – Preventing. Reducing and Managing Waste: Local Approaches for Global Challenges”.

Destination

The Indian partner institutions are supported by a study trip to exchange knowledge and visit locations that demonstrate successful implementation of waste management. This knowledge can in turn be used in India for integrated sustainable waste management towards a circular economy.

Procedure

Following the international multi-stakeholder conference, a 2-day study trip to selected waste disposal sites in Berlin will be organized and carried out for 10 officials from the partner institutions of the project module “Management of Organic Wastes in India” (MOWI), which is being implemented to support the environmental protection export initiative.
