Here are three fundamental facts:<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">1) <\/span><\/b><b>Types of toner cartridges: original toner cartridges<\/b> are produced by the printer manufacturer or authorized partners, offer high compatibility and reliability, but are expensive<b>. Compatible toner<\/b> cartridges are produced by third-party suppliers, fit various printer models, are cheaper, but may have lower quality and affect printer warranty<b>. Refill toners<\/b> are used original cartridges that are cleaned and filled with new toner, environmentally friendly and inexpensive, but with a higher risk of misprints. <b>Rebuilt toners<\/b> are rebuilt cartridges from different parts of original or compatible cartridges, like refill toners in price and environmental friendliness, but may have quality or compatibility issues.<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">2) Market data:<\/span><\/b>In Europe, about <b>120 million toner cartridges<\/b> are sold annually, of which roundabout <b>30 million are not from original manufacturers<\/b> but are remanufactured or compatible.<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">3) Recycling of toner cartridges:<\/span><\/b>Recycling and remanufacturing of toner cartridges play a critical role in reducing waste and conserving natural resources. It is important that we all do our part by putting our empty toner cartridges into collection. In <b>the remanufacturing process<\/b>, in many cases remanufacturers must cut open the cartridge to refill it, as the original manufacturers designed the cartridges to make such an operation difficult. Special tools may also be required for disassembly, as special screws may be installed. Another hurdle to remanufacturing is the computer chips. These must be reprogrammed for the cartridge to function after filling. Waste toner cannot be directly reused. In the <b>recycling process <\/b>which can have <b>different levels of automation<\/b>, the toner cartridges are shredded and the different materials, such as metals and plastics, are separated. These can then be recycled instead of ending up in landfills.<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Circular economy <\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">is a concept that aims to reduce waste and conserve resources. Toner cartridges can be recycled and remanufactured in this context.
